Raidlight, more than 20 years of innovation
Raidlight was born in 1999 in Saint-Genest-Malifaux, in the Pilat mountain range, at an altitude of 1000m, a short distance from Saint-Etienne.
Benoit Laval created Raidlight, a brand of trail running and adventure racing products, by combining his skills as a textile product designer with his passion for the mountains and running, sports that he had been partaking in since the age of 10. The design and manufacturing tools in one hand, the practical and sporting experience in the other, the desire to make his own prototypes was obvious. Raidlight began like many other start ups, in a garage, 10 products, a small website and 2 trestle tables at the start/finish line of races.
Over 20 years of work by the entire team and the enthusiasm and passion they share with customers and suppliers has led Raidlight to become the brand it is today.
EVOLUTION OF THE ULTRALIGHT MP+ JACKET
The 180 gram Top R-Light Jacket from 1999 was revolutionary, as is the 2022 Ultralight 2.0 Jacket which has 60K MVTR breathability and 25K HH waterproof rating.
